Camp Kindred

Where Healing Begins Through Joy and Connection

A Summer Camp That Heals Through Joy

Camp Kindred is more than just a summer camp — it’s a healing-centered space for adopted children ages 8–12 to play, explore, and connect with others who share similar stories. Led by adoption-competent staff, the program blends outdoor adventure, expressive activities, and trauma-informed care to help children build emotional strength and feel seen, safe, and supported.

Each day is thoughtfully designed to promote joy, belonging, and peer connection — essential ingredients for children navigating the complexities of adoption. Whether splashing in water games, hiking local trails, or sharing stories around a picnic table, kids are given the space to just be themselves — and to know they’re not alone.

Why Camp Kindred Matters

Adopted youth often carry invisible stories and unique emotional needs. Camp Kindred exists to meet them with understanding, connection, and fun. It’s part of a broader network of programs offered by Kindred Hearts to support adoptive families year-round. Through moments of play, friendship, and care, we help children build the tools they need to thrive at home, at school, and in life.
