Welcome to Our New Home
When we first envisioned a new space for Kindred Hearts, it wasn’t just about needing more room—it was about creating the right environment. One that reflects our mission, our values, and the deep commitment we hold for the families we serve.
After months of planning, building, and settling in, we’re proud to announce that Kindred Hearts is now located at 2110 Ferry Street in Anderson. And this move is so much more than a new address—it’s a new chapter.
A Space Rooted in Mission
Our new campus was designed to bring our mission to life in every detail. At Kindred Hearts, we walk alongside adoptive families—providing support, education, and encouragement throughout the lifelong journey of adoption. Now, our physical space matches that calling.
We’ve expanded into a three-building campus to serve families more intentionally:
-
Main Building: Administrative offices, ECM, Wraparound services, and community programs
-
Counseling Building: A calm, private space for clinical services and healing
-
Garage Hub: Storage for event supplies, recreational materials, and creative tools
Trauma-Informed Design, Inside and Out
Healing doesn’t happen under harsh lights or in sterile rooms. It happens in spaces that are warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for emotional safety. Every inch of our space was crafted with trauma-informed principles in mind:
-
Natural light in the lobby and meeting rooms
-
Soft textures, warm colors, and cozy spaces
-
Secured outdoor areas for movement and play
-
An on-site playground (opening August!)
-
Local artwork that reflects and honors our community
This isn’t just an office—it’s a home base for healing.
Built for Families, Not Just Services
We created this space with real families in mind—not just programs and paperwork.
-
Our new Family Room and Sensory Room offer safe, engaging areas for kids during groups and trainings.
-
The Community Room provides flexible space for events, meetings, and education.
-
The Counseling Wing gives our clinical team a quiet, focused space for meaningful work.
-
Our Wraparound and ECM teams now collaborate in real time with administrative and community staff.
Because when care is coordinated, families thrive.
A Phased Approach, Built on Purpose
As a nonprofit, we know transformation takes time. This move is unfolding in stages—finishing touches like landscaping and décor will continue to evolve. But the heart of the space is already here, alive and thriving.
Each addition—from garden beds to therapy rooms—is rooted in our mission:
healing, connection, and belonging.
Investing in Growth, for the Long Haul
This move isn’t just about today—it’s about building a stronger future.
With more space, we’re already:
-
Welcoming new families
-
Expanding programming
-
Onboarding new mentors and clinicians
This campus gives us the infrastructure we need to grow while staying rooted in what matters most: the quality of care and compassion we offer.
Belonging You Can Feel
This space is a reflection of our heart.
It’s where children can laugh, parents can breathe, and healing feels possible.
Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are just discovering Kindred Hearts, we hope you’ll visit. We’d love to show you around.
Because we didn’t build this just for us—we built it for you.
